Basant Kumar Shahi, also known as Spring Shahi, is a remarkable individual who has made significant contributions to the fields of mathematics and entrepreneurship. Despite facing various difficulties in his early life, he has achieved great success through his hard work and dedication. Born on March 10, 1997, in Manma Kalikot, Karnali Nepal, Basant grew up in a poor family background with three elder brothers and two sisters. He started his education at Shree Panch Dev Higher Secondary School in his birthplace, where he discovered his passion for mathematics. Basant had a unique ability to solve unusual numerical problems, and his skills were recognized and appreciated by his teachers and peers. In grade Eight, Basant developed a modified “Ratio of the areas of excribed and inscribed circle of isosceles right triangle,” which was a significant achievement for a student of his age. His dedication and hard work towards his studies earned him several accolades and awards, including the National Youth Award from the Government of Nepal in 2017.
